Khaleesi – My Adopting Story

By: Leticia, CUVS Technician Assistant

“I adopted my 1-year old kitty, Khaleesi (previously named Bonia), on August 21, 2017. She was surrendered to the adoption group, Friends of Felines (FOF), in June 2017 when she was only 8 months old. She had fallen out of a 7-story building right onto the pavement causing abrasions and lacerations on her face, fracturing both her hind legs, and causing a pneumothorax (free air in her chest cavity). FOF brought her to the Emergency Service at CUVS where she was stabilized and cared for by Dr. DeCillis and then had surgery performed by Dr. Bentley. At her last recheck examination, on August 16, 2017, she was good as new and ready to be adopted! I, of course, fell in love with her curious and charming personality. I immediately got in touch with FOF and adopted the most loving and most cuddly beautiful kitty I renamed Khaleesi.” :-)
